Good News – More Money Doesn’t Always Equal Hard Work

Aside from feeling as if you’re taking money from other people who may deserve it more, if you have a problem with limiting beliefs you may also think that it’s wrong to earn money when you didn’t work hard for it. That’s another severely limiting mindset that you can break through. The fact is, some of the least taxing work earns the most money. Think about inheritances and interest on investments and savings.

When you have this limiting belief, you will find that you feel guilty if you outsource work to someone and earn off their labor. You feel guilty if you hire a housekeeper to clean up after you and your family. You feel guilty when you pay your affiliates 20,000 dollars but you get to keep 20,000 too for doing “nothing.”

The problem here is that you’ve judged work by its intensity. You think the harder you work, the more you deserve. While that seems logical, it’s not true. You don’t have enough pride in the work that you do, especially when that work is not tangible and is more idea focused. But you can turn that around and realize that you can spend less time on your business and make more money, and that’s great!

It’s OK

It’s okay to lounge at the beach while your bookkeeper does your books. It’s okay to play on the floor with your child while your housekeeper cleans the house. Your bookkeeper and housekeeper chose their professions for a reason. They don’t have to do them. Unless they are in fact slaves who have been forced, they are free people and can do the job they want to do. They are likely very happy with their choice.

Job Creator

You are providing jobs for others. Everyone needs to make money and therefore everyone needs a job of some kind if they don’t have earning investments. When you hire someone to make those graphics for you, you are giving someone a way to earn a living. This is something to be proud of, not ashamed of. You aren’t meant to do everything. You’re meant to share the load with others.

Work Smarter Not Harder

When you figure out how to make as much money in 20 hours as you made in 40 hours, there is nothing to be ashamed about there. You have a right to implement your program and get paid for it. You are not wrong to do it. In fact, if you don’t do it, who will? Maybe you’re the only one who can do what it is that you do the way that you do it. If you’re smart enough to use technology to get more, so be it.

Limiting beliefs are limiting you in so many ways. If you want to break through and end those limiting beliefs, you just have to find out who has succeeded against these so-called rules. Read about them, listen to podcasts, watch them speak, and read their books. You can learn so much by opening your mind and letting go of limiting beliefs that no longer serve you well.
